Good memories of visiting Sarratt …including walking from Watford occasionally..and also his red Triumph Herald…a charming character.
I was a gang show member in the 1960’s. 9th SW Herts troop. I remember Flight well and fondly. He was an inspirational man. Great memories of those shows and all the work that went into the production. And I remember us getting a rollicking after one, not so great show!
Flight was a great man, he inspired me and on one of my many visits to his home played me my song on his piano. I remember that until today, and playing in the trees in his garden.
Flight made me and many others feel special. We need more characters like its today.
I was in a few Gang Shows and also went to Flight’s house. What year is the newspaper cutting?
No date is showing on the newspaper cutting but I have managed to find the date of death which was 22nd December 1989.
