Thursday 12th July 1900

A lovely day again, not quite so hot as yesterday. Quite a treat to leave at five o’clock.  After I had had my tea mother & I went to Watford Heath Farm.  Miss Bonsey had invited us to go in the hay field, I did some haymaking and mother had a walk round the field with Miss Bonsey before we went in the hayfield we went in the garden.  I had a feed of white raspberries.  We did not get home till nearly ten o’clock.

Another glorious day almost too hot to work, but it has to be done.  Got home just before six, found Flo & Elsie & baby there, after I had had my tea, mother and I went with them part of the way, we went round Gladstone Rd, as Flo wanted to enquire about a house there, but she could not find it.

Saturday 14th July 1900

Another very hot day.  The great worlds Christian Endeavour Convention at the Alexandra Palace begins today, I had my dinner at the office and then Eva & Will Fawcett & I went to the great welcome meeting, it was a sight to see the people, but we were too far off the platform to hear much.  We got home at 10.30
