In the ‘60s the St. Meryl Horticulture Society of Carpenders Park took part in yearly inter-society competitions in the Methodist Church Hall in South Oxhey.

  • Have just found a plaque from St Meryl Hort.Society that was given to my Grandfather in 1960 . His name was Robert Wittey .

  • Used to know Mr and Mrs Pond – lived in Penrose off Greenfield Avenue – both keen gardeners.
