I was only three months old when I moved to Grover Road, that was December 1938, there fore my earliest memories were of wartime.

Tony’s memories of Grover Road, includes memories of the cine film cartoon show held in an old detached house called the Firs, the dropping of a doodlebug in Oxhey Land and working for Dick Longhurst at a paper ship in Capel Road.

  • I remember you Tony from Oxhey infants School I was born at number 11 Chalk Hill in 1937 and have many memories I wonder if you remember me.
