Thanks Neil for putting this up, its a very very rare find! From my research, the artist lived nearby. Frederick Goodall became wealthy at a very young age as a celebrated and fashionable painter. He built Grimsdyke house at Old Redding, now the beautiful hotel, set back from the top of the hill. His main patron was his neighbour and owner of Oxhey Place Thomas Blackwell of Crosse and Blackwell fame. He commissioned Goodall to paint Oxhey place, I find this etching amazing because of where it is and hope the original painting surfaces somewhere. As a footnote, Goodalls paintings went out of fashion, he went bankrupt and sold everything.
