Bushey First World War Commemoration Project
The exhibition consisted of 50 panels telling the story of men and women from Bushey and Oxhey during The Great War. Details and biographies of those who died and names and addresses of those serving abroad were on show at the exhibition.
The pages on this website are the exhibition panels which relate to Oxhey.
The project involved talks, concerts, an inter-denominational church service an exhibition and a website.
The Exhibition at The Bushey Academy was officially opened on Monday 4th August 2014, by The Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, The Countess of Verulam, one hundred years after Britain declared war.
Thank you to Bushey Museum and Art Gallery for this wonderful project and for allowing us to share it on Our Oxhey
