Three Rivers Museum in conjunction with Three Rivers District Council, hosted two Heritage Open Days on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th September.

You could go and see the old council chamber, hallway, stairs and upper landing of Basing House in addition to the Museum.  Local groups and organisations were also there with information stalls, such as Abbots Langley Local History SocietyRickmansworth Waterways Trust and of course, Our Oxhey.

We spoke to a many people, some of whom knew Oxhey well, some who had lived there, and some who had never been there.  It’s always good to hear the memories.

Apparently, a lot of people were curious to know why we have a picture of Roger Moore on our banner, well click the link to find out about his connection to Oxhey.
