A Healthy walk around South Oxhey
By Sue Green
On June 15th I led two walks , (one in the morning and one in the afternoon around South Oxhey) during which we discovered some hidden gems on this former LCC estate. These included the first house to be handed to a tenant in the 1940s , the site of Oxhey place and of course Oxhey Chapel built in 1612.
Ten people came on the morning walk and three on the afternoon, memories of the area were shared and discoveries made.
I really enjoyed my day and hopefully so did everyone else.
Here are some photos of the participants
